1951 Farmall H

This is a restoration of our family’s tractor that was bought new by Salmer Wicks. The tractor has never left the family farm and was a staple of the operation for many many years. In 1997, the farm shop burned down and this tractor was inside, totalling the tractor and all other equipment. The tractor then sat in the pasture until 2016, when I decided it would be a good idea to restore it! After turning every single nut and bolt, and replacing every single bearing, seal, and countless other parts, fully rebuilding the engine, hydraulic pump, replacing all the rims, tires, and sheet metal, I had a complete tractor again. I took it to the Freeborn County Fair as my 4-H project where I won Grand Champion and to the state Fair where I won a purple ribbon!
